A/c Led switch question
As some of you may have seen i am switching all my interior lighting from blue to orange. i switched out my leds from the stock to blue on the a/c controls. its been a while since i have done it, was there ever a good solution that give you even light distribution? you can sort of see what i mean in this picture: what does it look like stock? i still have one of my o.g. leds but a leg broke off the other, any ideas on where to get another, or and links to something similar that will work? any suggestions or opinions or guidance would be awesome. hope to hear from you soon.

stock has the light distributed evenly throughout the controls.
best thing for evenness is to wire in your own leds or purchase led strips to place beind the controls.

I've changed out the HVAC lights on 3 different cars now, and I've found that insted of grinding the led heads completly flat grind it at an angle to distribute the light towards the darker edges gives really even results. It's not a guarantee fix, but it's worked everytime I've tried it. the only thing is that every led is grinded into a little different shape when doing this, so each will distribute light a little differently. Just gotta play with their positions till you get even illumination.
I couldn't find any info on how big the holders are in the leds above, but if they'll fit in the provided hole they should work. Someone on clubxb used something similar. check it out:

Im going to atempt this too in the near future. I remember reading that you either need an incandescent bulb or an LED marked for 360 degree light diffusion like this one http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs..._360_specs.htm
The problem is that most LEDs act light spot lights with light going only in one direction. I think maybe radio shack might have some incandescent bulbs, might be cheaper too.
