Because the dealer told her that it needed to be replaced... The dealer should have asked her if she wanted to have one installed. Then she could have made a decision on having one or not, but when someone says it needs to be replaced it makes you think you have to do it.

BTW, Purolator makes a cabin filter for Echo/xA/xB -- Purolator A15363. But my local Pep Boys did not have that one in stock.

I just did mine. I used a HEPA filter. Whats really great is you can get one at wally world for 10 bucks that will fit right in there

47 bucks for install. I would go back there and demand 37 dollars back. Ask for your money in the sales room where prospective customers are. If they refuse to give you your money back just get louder and louder so ever Customer hears you.

Total time for my install not counting cutting filter to size. About 5 minutes probably less. Next time it will take about 2 minutes. I know where it is, I know what size it is and I wont have to walk up stairs to get scissors
