Default Cathodes and Inverters how many?

Ok how many cathodes can you run off of one inverter. Im wondering this because i may add about 20 cathodes to the car and that would be 10 inverters do i need to use 10 of them?

Thanks in advance

...i used 2 inverters for 4 cathodes...
and then i ordered more
im trying to splice them.. so i can just use 1 inverter for 3 that im placing in the hood
i think it should work..
worst case scenario... unsplice them... ..

2 each. You're going to want to use 14g wire and a 10amp fuse.

no no no....
thats way too much
i used 16...
but you can use low as 18-20
and i just threw in a inline 3 amp after pinching the 7.5amp radio
dont go overload with thick wires everywhere

Default ok

Well i know if i order the kits i get a inverter for each pair of cathodes so 2 cathodes per inverter. Now i know each inverter can have 2 cathodes to it. Well if that is the case 20 cathodes = 10 inverters can i run 4 cathodes on 1 inverter 8 cathodes on 1 inverter. You can buy seperate tubes for 1.99 instead of buying the kit for 7.99 which will save alot of money but before i do that i need to know if 1 inverter will work for 10 lights.

1 inverter will work for 2 cathodes.

NoShiO: Do you know what you're talking about? I do. I had 26 cathodes on my car at one point. I turned them all on and blew a 5 amp fuse and melted the housing. Take my advice, use some decent wire and a 10 amp fuse and you won't have any problems.

hey i was just talking about my setup and what philbish told me from Oznium...
6 cathodes work fine on 16 awg wire with a 3 inline fuse pinched to my radio fuse

ive got no problem with turning just 6 on...
but i dont plan on having a light show inside my car...

so maybe a 3 amp inline isnt enough for 26 cathodes...

There are charts all over the place telling what size wire to run for various capacities. Use the charts. Just because it worked for someone without issues doesnt mean you shouldnt take the time to look it up. If you are unsure of the draw, place a multimeter on the ammeter setting inline with the power or ground circuit (Make sure it is able to handle the current you are drawing) and measure the draw, then size you wire and fuses accordingly. Also, NEVER attach your power supply to another circuit in the car. Not saying that is what you are doing, but many people do. It is sloppy and adds more load to the circuit, which is designed for its original purpose. Follow these steps and you will have a safe, properly loaded circuit.

thanks for the response the question i was really asking is i know 2 cathodes come with one inverter. I asked a few friends of mine and they said just use 2 cathodes per inverter i just didnt want to have a huge pile of inverters to put somewhere 20 cathoes im going to have to find a place to have 10 inverters should be fun.
