Default remote switching amp fan

i got one of those old fosgate punch amps that has a cast iron shell. kinda looks like a bbq grill. well this thing gets freakn hot and i can literally cook and burger on it. i think it was shutting off on me yesterday cause it was getting so hot. it is mount just flat in the trunk not covered by anything so it gets some air flo around the fins.

i wanted to know if there are any cooling fans out there that i can hook up to the power leads that will switch on and off with the amp. i was thinking there might be a computer fan that will do this.

Most computer fans run on 12V, so all you have to do is find where the amp switches its power and tap into that location. If you find a dead computer power supply you can scavenge the fan out of it.
