Default CD Title Display?

Hi, I'm new here. This is my first post. I recently bought my '06 xB used. When I put a CD in the player it says "No Title" for both the CD and the Track names. I've tried several CDs and get the same results. Am I doing something wrong? Is it a defect? I have the standard Pioneer single-CD system.

Thanks!

You can page through with the "Text" button. It has positions to show the CD title and the Track titles but in those positions mine displays "No Title". I'm assuming that since it's there, it should be reading the info off the disc and displaying it. Has anyone else noticed this or gotten the CD and Track titles to display?

Thanks again!

it really isn't with the stereo. it's with the cd's. some record companies will have the cd track and album titles encrypted on the cd so it can be displayed wiether in a car stereo or on media players. some cd have it and some don't.

for example: if you burn your own cd's, go to the options screen and select to save cd track names and after you burn your cd play it in your car. you'll see the text on the display.

Yea... if you were to burn a data cd with mp3s on it, it would display the titles.

I don't have an iPod. I have a 30gig ZEN Vision M that I plug into the Aux port. I don't think I can get that to sync with the Pioneer head unit for display.

the aux ports will not display anything on the hu display screen except "aux". in order for the ipod to display track info and titles, you must have the ipod upgrade installed from the dealer. i have the ipod2car and even that doens't display the track names on the hu...
