Can anyone recommend a cheap DVD player for the dash of an xB? It could be a flip up, an in dash mount, etc. Thanks in advance!

Do you want an indash all in one player, or do you want a cheap way out, im not to sure because i drive a hyundai right now, but dont scions have a double din? if soo you can get the dvd player on the bottom and a 7 inch widescreen TFT pop out screen on top for for like 400 hundred, the dvd player is the same one i use in my hyundai elantra it has RCA inputs in the front for quick plug in's like xbox ps2 etc and it has ones in the back for output and a s video output it was $119 for the player and it supports DVD,VCD,DVCD,CD,MP3,CD-R,CD-RW. the screen is $199.

I had one of the older 5.6" models. Most are not electric in/out, you have to move them in/out by hand, but they are decent screens (mine was) and pretty rugged.

Not the best, but not the worst either. Pretty good for the money.

 

Oh forgot to tell you if u do deal with mp3player dont get any stn screens make sure its TFT, stns are crap but their stns are crap times ten,i use to sell them. I now deal with Valor if u want info on valor products let me know...

 

They now have a fully motorized one, i have a stand alone screen from them 5.6 tft and i gotta say for the money it is by far worth it the screen is so much sharper then any screen i seen for 119 A+ on that i say... but some of there other screens suck i did the install for my brothers tahoe and the back ones are crap they are 7 inch widescreen ones the picture sucks...

This is the exact same setup I was thinking about doing (except maybe going with the XGA screen), did you get them from MP3playerstore.com? Any problems?

I have the dvd player its nice, the screen i have is different i love the screen its very sharp and clear for the price, only problem i had is that they sent the wrong screens to my brother, and on his first order all the screens where messed up like there was black lines all throughout the screen.

I am willing to bet that it is being purchase in bulk by other companies, I have that unit and i have mounted in a double din style stack, I had to do some modification to get to look nice. I also plug in the karoake mike at pinics and show, I am pinoy so karoake is mandatory. Bill Turner
