Default CHEAP easy to install DIY keyless entry!

I just got done installing a remote keyless entry system in my xA RS. It took a little over an hour start to finish and cost only $62 shipped. The system has 2 remotes and comes with an engine kill relay, all connectors already installed, zip ties and instructions. I got this from Bill Turner at Scion Specialties.

I'm not real good with electrical and ICE stuff and I got the whole system in without trouble. The directions were simple and straight forward. Bill also offers to be available via phone for any tech questions.

If you want a cheap EZ to install keyless system contact Bill.

Thanks for the great service Bill!!

Sounds sweet. What brand is it? What do the remotes look like? You say it only took an hour, is it pretty much plug and play? I've got side curtain airbags, will that cause any installation issues?

I've been wanting a remote keyless entry but haven't gotten around to getting one yet. Maybe that's a blessing in disguise, $62 shipped sounds pretty good.
Thanks

the brand is accelevision, www.accelevision.com I have been using thier products for over 12 years now and have very low failure rate they also have a life warranty on thier security products. The connections are straight forward. As covered in the instructions, plus if anyproblems I am just a phone call away.

I am wanting to add keyless remote entry to my xA. I'm definately NOT going to be drilling any holes myself, but I think I could figure out how to make a few connections.

So, I'm seriously considering going this route . Called the dealership and it would be $240...

So, a few questions....

Adding something like this won't invalidate your warrenty or anything will it?

Is there any hole drilling required with this kit or just making connections?

Do you have to do any dash tearing out, side panel removing and if so how hard is it to get everything back like it was??

I'd like to think I could do this, but am VERY nervous about damaging my car and really have no experience working on cars.

it requires no drilling, no cutting of wires, and will not void any warranties, the wires will t-tapped, aand it only requires removing a couple of panels, which are easily replaced. Bill

Three screws to remove, the lower steering column panel, remove diver kick panel, then tap a few wires and install. The instruction are very wire specific. Bill
