Your Scion Radio most likely is set to XA. This is how you can change it.
Press the SSP botton for about 3 seconds. Then hit your up or down arrow to make it Xa or Xb see the pictures. Hppes this helps.

 

Yeah, mine was set to xA. Does it make a difference??? I didn't have time to listen to it....

J/K. I always wanted to do that. I saw a post about it a while back and tried it. Sounded better set as xA in my xB. Now that I have my aftermarket in, it sounds better than both.

 

I had posted this about 6 month a go i figured it's time to do it again because all the new Xb owner out there.

i like the way it sounds on xA better...I usually show my customers the difference, and they often agree with me.

 

im using xa as well..
when i had a scion headunit in my old car(before i had a scion)
xa was better as well.. more hi/mids so sound is clearer.

xA here too, and i also read the owners manual, where its also listed.

Yeah that was posted a while back. My xB sounded better on the xA setting. I don't have to worry about that anymore because I have a new in dash TV unit now :D

 

Gotta be the xA setting, it's much cleaner.

 

For us '05 guys, mine was set on tc from the factory. I changed it to xB...sounds a little cleaner.

Hey toyotaisme, Did you connect your your Hi/lo converter to the left or right side of your rear speaker wires??


I did this with my dealers xB.... but theres also had tC on it!!!!!

tC= No treble
xB=Balanced
xA=Lower Bass amount

 

I was surprized the dealer actually had mine set to xB, but mine also has the option of tC. on tC it sounds more muted....
