the 2004 amps are ridicoulous! Rockford is going back to their old ways...
I probably said this before... Rockford Sold out in the previous years... But this year they are now trying to make up to their distributors/loyal RF heads by redesigning the entire line for the 2004 year. You are getting High quality products this year... Everything is revamped and redesigned to be what the old rockford stuff used to be.

The power series amps are almost all 1 ohm stable! bd amps can be loaded slightly lower for competition use again... they can all be used as cheater amps this year... 500 watt amps producing over 1000 watts... 800 watt amps producing over 1300 watts... etc

I would try and get the power series amplifiers if you are going to do rockford stuff.
They are defintely pricier but you really are paying for a difference... oh and did you know all power amps except 0/1 guage power wire directly to them?

as for comparable brands:

zapco
brahma
mbquart q series amps
mcintosh
audison
Diamond Audio

Rockford Fosgate
pheonix gold
JL
memphis
eclipse

this is a quicklist of what are the higher end amps out there...
If anyone else feels that there is another amp that need to be on that list feel free to add it...

But I only buy audiobahn now they have proved themselves to me and If you really want to go for some spank it will cost you more but the immortals or the eternals are SICK!! hope that helps some

The stats for the soundstream rubicon series arent too shabby. Found some posts on audio forums and they seem to be a decent amp. Any of you had any experience with this these.

Just out of curiousity anyone know the distance for running a power wire from battery to the cargo area, a real rough estimate is fine...thx.

Crossfire....my first system when I was 16....2 Crossfire 12"s and a 200w Crossfire Amp in a 1994 S-10 **BOOM!** and I was hooked on bass.

I'm going with Xtant subs on my new system...I was impressed with them when I saw them.

I currently have two vehicles:

A, 04' xB with Memphis M-Class components and Amplifiers, and a Reference series 10" sub and coaxials in the rear. The system is incredibly clear and crisp.

I also have a 99 dodge ram, which is where my Crossfire reference comes from.

In the truck I run a Crossfire VR202 Amp powering a pair of Memphis 6X9's, a Crossfire VR404 powering a pair of Diamond Car Audio components and a pair of MB Quart Q Series coaxials in the rear. For bass i have a Crossfire Class D 1000W Amp powering a pair of Crossfire 12" BMF subwoofers.

I speak very highly of all the products in both of my cars except for the Diamond components in the truck, they tend not to hang all that well at very high volumes, they tend to peak early. Other than that Crossfire and Memphis are both very good car audio companies.

MB Quart Q Series coaxials ???

I was never aware that they made q series coaxials...

Diamond audio components sound exceptionally well, however like stated earlier they do not like to hold much power...

I am not as familiar with MB Quart's product line these days, but I put the system in my truck about 4 years ago and Q series coaxials were available, not so sure anymore. They have completely redone there product lines from they used to have.
