Default Component System Install Question

i bought a pair of phoenix gold component sytems for my xa and now i need to install them. the problem i'm having is how should i run the new speaker wire from the speakers to the amp. do i have to cut that rubber thing between the doors that has all the other wires running through it and run it through there or is there an easier way like splicing into the factory speaker wire? any ideas/help would be appreciated. thanks.

You can run it inside the rubber boot(best idea) or splice into the factory wiring(not really that suggested)

It's difficult to get it in through the factory piece, but definitely doable

Easiest way would be to take it out of the door/body in between the two then thread wire.

as an experience professional installer...if u wanna run the wires through the door boot....get the wire...and a tie strap...and sum tape? still cant figure it out?> cuz the end of the tire strap tape the wire onto it...run the tie strap through the boot...and slowly and surely pull the wire through...juss a lil tip that helps out..peace

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of doing it...since I was doing it myself and it took about an hour(I used dual 12awg...basically like running 4awg power wire into my doors )

thanks for the help guys. got the wire run through the factory grommets but it was hard as hell. way too much work for speaker wire but the end result was worth it. now everything looks factory, including the new tweeter in the rear door panels.

coat hanger, duct tape and some non-flammable silicone wire lubricant from lowes or whatever. I'll never do it dry again! Errr...

Actually it works great for power, speaker wire, just whatever.

A book of matches, a tangerine, and a watch battery....oh, wait. Wrong device.

Seriously though, I use a coat hanger for stuff like that.
