Default Custom Stereo - 56K?. . . Couldnt tell ya

Ive built this set up over a period of about 4 months. I was tired of the bandpass and wanted something a little more custom. Its my first time trying something like this and if it wasnt for my brother and his help on some stuff it wouldnt have gotten done. (I actually built the frame and laid all the fiberglass and did the bondo) Like I said, its my first time so it isnt too crazy but its enough for me.

I first took a fiberglass mold of the bottom half of the trunk to make it a snug fit. I actually removed my spare from the bottom which is why I ended up adding that spare rim on the other side. The amp is there for the time being while my computer is being built and will move once I have it mounted in plexi. Just wanted to see what you guys think. I needs to be painted too. . . I know, but it takes a while just to get all that crap out. Wiring for 3 amps and I have to remove the entire rear seat (including that bar) to get the box out.

The wheel is secured by the angle mostly and the wheel chock that I glassed in. But it is also tied down to the baby seat anchor spot hehe. And as far as paint goes, the box part is actually primered now and the wheel half is flat black. I just need some ideas on paint schemes.

It looks excellent! GREAT JOB!! For paint suggestions, I recommend going with a light color, especially white to match the exterior. White with a nice gloss looks very nice on enclosures and will be MUCH less likely to show any blemishes or imperfections in the fiberglass/bondo. Darker colors like blues, deep reds, purples, and shades of black seem to REALLY make these imperfections stand out.
Please don't think I'm saying that your enclosure looks flawed. Quite the contrary. Unfortunately, there are ALWAYS some sort of little imperfections in the final finish. All you can do is fill and sand, fill and sand, fill and sand. Usually what I do, if I know I am going to be painting the finished box, I will spray it with some black spray paint when I think I've got it smooth. This will make the imperfections very visible so I can then go back and fix them as much as possible. Some final sanding followed by a good heavy primer should have the enclosure ready for some good quality paint and clear. If the enclosure is big enough, a good color-sand with 2000 grit followed by a good buffing will REALLY make it shine! You've done a fantastic job so far!
