hey im goin today to get a combo of subs and amps.. what should i do to get a awsome sound combo..... if you live in CT we are meeting at the Berlin Turnpike on saturday night at 900 to show off the scion lineup...............

 

Is there a price or space max that you wish not to exceed? What should I do is a pretty generic question, what are you working with?

 

here what you need to figure out:

Price range?
SQ (sound quality) or SPL (Loud) or SQL?
The amount of space you want to give up for the size of the box? (ported or sealed box)? if ported tuned to what Hz?
What size subs and how many?
How many amps?
Headunit?
Eq and x-overs?
Type of install? (Sleek and clean or throw a box in the back and bump away).
You doing the work yourself? if not check with the local shops for their hourly rate?
Interconnects?
Power Wire?
Distribution Blocks?
Sound Deadener?

 

What he said! There's so much out there to choose from! I guess the number one project is finding how much you're willing to spend. My system cost hella money, but I bought it piece by piece, so don't let estimates with 30 things on them scare you away from getting some unique work done!
