I think a few people might have. White might look good depending on how you do it.

i thought i read in an earlier post that at sema there was supposed to be some 'really cool looking' dash replacement for the tc. if i can find the thread before i go to work ill post it, but it quoted toyota as saying 'it would look like something out of a video game' id really like a different colored dash as well, the orange just doesnt go with my blue led kit. id also like to change that orange one in the little cd holder thing under the stereo to blue

*edit* here is the link, its on the first page, a scion dealer mentioned it, but i havnt seen anything else after that

well, in my opinion the kit is too expensive. i just wanted to know if someone know what kind of LEDs the gauges are. are they the same leds as in the RSX or the MATRIX? because if they are, i have like 100 blue ones... but they are blue, so i need to buy some white ones. soldering is no problem for me, i do it alot.

Well if the LED's inside the spedometer are similar to the ones in the celica. I'm guessing they are 0805 SMD LED's. These LED's are the same as the ones that came with the camry navi system that I installed for my wife and their green, but I plan on changing them to amber to match the rest of the dash. The HVAC lights, on the other hand, are actually either very large LED's or bulbs in which I've seem some people just use LED "condoms" to change the color emitting from those lights. In the xB theres only two of them and they distribute the light throughout the HVAC gauges via a fiber optic plastic piece. I might eventually change the color scheme of her dash but I haven't decided what colors yet.

I bought these from this site for changing out the Navi led colors...

There was a threada while back in which someone changed their dash lights to blue by putting rubber jackets over the bulbs...You can also color them with a sharpie as well...I tried to do a search to find it, but the new search engine in here sucks ___ and I couldn't locate it...

I'm interested in finding the thread again because it had pics on the DIY, and looked fairly easy to do

As for changing the clock color, I'm down to do it myself, but I need to know how to get inside of the light panel...Does the cover of it pop off, or do I have ot go in from under the dash somewhere???

I think this is what you were looking for

hotbox05 - I'll probably take a look at it this weekend to see if they can be changed or not. I was thinking of changing them to white to match the speedo but white LED's are so expensive because of their production process.
