Dash Speakers Wires ?
I did a search and couldnt find any info so bear with me
I got a bB and recently got around to replacing the stock speakers in the car myself and after have done the front door and rear speakers i decided to do the dash ones. And when i open the cover up.. i see no speakers in there !?! Anyway, it doesnt really matters bc i was going to remove and replace them anyway. So now here is my question.
First question : Are the dash speakers originally meant to be tweeters or are they full range speakers but with less rms in them in comparision to the original stock front door speakers ? And if they are tweeters, are there already in built cross-overs in the current wires? So do i still need to get cross overs? Or is it possible to install a pair of 4" full range speakers in them? I am setting up the system without any amp.
Next question : Which pair of wires are originally meant for the dash speakers ? I see 2 pairs, one in a blue plug and another in a translucent white plug.

I got no idea to use which pair, i understand your xB has dash speaker installed from factory, so i hope you guys can point to me which pair to use. Dun want to fry anything.
Last question : I havent bought the speakers yet. But i will probably get a pair of 4" co-axial, if i am going which this set up will have enough power to fire the speakers ? My current set up on the door is 200W 3 way speakers and 180W 2 way in the rear, i got a Kenwood Woox under my seat for bass and now i just need something to fill up the hole in the dash.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot guys.

Short answer: It's the blue connector. :D
The stock speaker (at least on my xB) is a tiny little paper-cone tweeter marked 13 ohms with a soldered capacitor of uncertain specs (high-pass filter). The door speaker is wired in parallel with the dash speaker with no crossover other than that one capacitor.
I got bored this weekend and took out the dash speakers as an experiment ... the crossover point seems to be pretty high. I'm considering 4-inchers from either Rockford Fosgate or Infinity.

Forget the 4 inch speakers. Put one of these bad boy tweeters in:

It'll play down to 2khz spec wise and I have mine crossed over lower. Won't get any more "crystal" clear then this.
