Does anyone know how to get the rings out on the far right and left hand vents...I wanted to paint them to match the rest...but I'm stumped...please don't tell me I have to take the WHOLE dash apart...

Yes, you have to take the whole dash out. I'd look into doing something else other than painting 'em, perhaps and overlay or something.

You asked if anyone know how to remove the right and left vent rings out. The only way I know how to paint those rings is to remove the whole dash out and mask around the rings. Good luck and I hope this helps you a bit.

 

Since it has not been stated directly, the pieces are not separate, they are molded into the dash. You cannot remove them.

 

Well that solves the mystery...I figured as much...

May be more work than it's worth...I'll just continue to paint what I can remove...
