can anyone possibly help me with trimming in the gaps?
if someone has the ability to make a "trim kit" i'd be willing to send ya a few buckaroos for it
please help, a good drawing, and some instructions would be extremely helpful.

you would probably be a little better off getting a shop around where you are located to make you one

I just used plexi glass.I cut two strips and applied it to the back of the center console. Looks good. I think you will find many people with the kenwood ddx took this approach.

Yeah, that's the easiest. I originally bought a trim kit, chopped it, and used double-sided 3M mounting tape.

You can also call up Scosche. I think their number is on their website. They DO have a Toyota double-din mounting bracket, regardless of what people will tell you. The people I talked to on the phone were kind of idiotic, but maybe I'm just being too harsh. I forget the part number, but try it.
