firehouse five plus two..........they're a washboard/jamband type of group.....that's a true test!!! checks all imaging and staging and everything!!!.......also maybe try some pipe organ music.....but be careful with it cause it's been known to fry amps/subs/speakers when ran hard....it will give your drivers a work-out....

the Firehouse Five plus Two is hard to find.....maybe on the internet....most people don't like it for the music cause it's similar to a bluegrass/country/jam music.......but i'm sure it's on the net somewhere........Pipe organ music can be found on the IASCA competition disc i think....but I'm not sure......ummm.....the whole gravedigger CD (Dave Matthews) sounds really good on a system......Pink Floyd's 2 disc Echoes album........Alice in Chains-Jar of Flies ........what kind of music are you into??? Peter Frampton always sounds good too!!!!!!

hmmm....Phish-Hoist..........Little Feat........

really just depends on your taste in music and such....

get some lil jon. Go put that crunk juice or kings of crunk in, and you will know how your system sounds. Also if you wanna test the bass get Monster Musik by Juelz Santana the bass line makes most cars shake.

don't download music from the internet to check sound quality! mp3 is too lossy if you have a good system.

get good prerecorded Alicia keys or something or lil jon. Something new (better recording techniques) and mainstream. (better studios)

Thats where your wrong. VBR mp3 that you can download are almost identical to the wav files off the cd. Since the bitrate can change to allocate more bits where needed, it also produces a smaller size by adding less bits where there is silence. Now if you're talking 128k im with you but 192k or vbr mp3 will almost be identical to the cds i know this for a fact.
