Did TC Gauge and Console Blue LED conversion last night
I did the Gauge and console LED conversion last night to Blue - All I can say is SWEET.....simply sweet. Thanks a ton to all who contributed to that thread.
I followed the Install thread by panasoanic
and it went perfect....

As for the Blue LED issue of which one to use. I followed tchillin's
lead and went with the same LED's he did. Perfect fit. Ordered from here:

The Blue LED's are perfect in every location with the exception of the console. Behind the LCD display backlighting of blue is a little dim...but very OK. Not bad at all. All the other console LED's are perfect, buttons, AC, etc.
As for the conversion - it took me a few minutes to figure out that I needed to actually turn the key to acc. to test ALL the LED's on the guage cluster. 2 led's stayed off while just turning on the lights (thought I did a bad solder job or something). Remember to turn key to acc
The spoon trick works well for removing the needles and I highly recommend taking a pic before removing the needles. Saved me big time. When doing the spoon, patience with even pressure and they will then slide up. Tweezers are a must.
As for the console - well, taking off that friggin HVAC **** was the worst part. That and the plastic behind it. I was scared I was going to break it. Pliars with rag works - again patience and pull. As stated by panasoanic, the 3 LED's behind the LCD screen. you have to unsolder the pins holding the LCD. I'm a solder-pult nut, so no problem here, but I'm sure solder wick would work too.
Total time from start to finish. 11pm to 3 am. Probably took longer because I got tired, but I couldn't stop and those LED's are so friggin small, I was struggling to see the notch in the corner of the LED's.
Here is a pic of Tchillin's in blue - I will post mine ASAP.
