I have a issue with a my clock and odometer light coming on when the key is turned to the on position with out the parking lights being on also the shift selector light slightly comes on and the radio goes to dim mode by it self but here is the kicker if i leave the key in acc instead of on it all works properly the lights are on like they supposed to but the minute i turn the key to on the problem starts plus with the key off and out i turn the parking lights on and the clock and odometer lamp doesnt work and when i have the key to the on position and disconnect the instrument cluster all together everything works like normal no dimmer radio problem no hint of light out of the shift selector someone help me im going nuts with this problem and im not sure if i need a whole new instrument cluster all together to fix the problem

 

My 04 xA does this also, it's normal operation. Should be able to verify with another members ride at local meet/show..? Mine has always done this, key in Accy position only operates radio, no lights on clock or ODO unless turned to ON position, even w/parking lights...have had to check time w/key to on position while listening to radio at night while parked. I know what you mean by being stupid operation but thats how the xA/xB work.
