Displayable Characters without scrolliing
How many characters can the display hold without having to scroll.
I am making Scion Mix discs for my girlfriends XA...
I want everything to be cleanly displayed.
She has the stock six disc changer.
I would like to know:
# of Chars for CD Title
# of Chars for Folder Name
# of Chars for Artist, Title, Album
Thanks to all you sciontists in advance...
Sorry about the double post, I posted this in someone elses thread and decided I should put it in its own.

if you press and hold the text button it will show the rest of the cut off song name, but that's not the information I am looking for. I am hunting for total characters available without cutoff. I did a search but i don't see it posted anywhere.
it'll actually only show the second set of the set number of text. This means if after the second set, there is still text, you're not gonna see it... (at least I can't figure out how)
Since nobody seems to know...
I guess I'll just burn a one mp3 cd with the title, album, and artist name being "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz" and see how many characters are shown.
I will post my results in case anyone else wants to know for future reference.

never bothered to calculate it. It would be kinda interesting to know, tho. Let us know what you find out. I'll try it with a CD-RW if I remember when i get home, that way it won't waste a disc...
Yeah, I figure this way you can make it like the movies on tv (edited for content) and fit what you want on the display by adjusting the ID3 tag. This way the MP3 cd's come out looking nice and clean on the display. Perfect for my "gift" idea. With titles like Scion Hard, Scion Rock, Scion Hiphop, Scion Soft, Scion Mixer, and Scion Pop I can fill up her 6 disc changer and give her tons of music and have it all cleanly displayed.
12 or 24 characters total depending on how you want to view it
12 in the inital display and then 12 more if you hold the text button down.
Letters ABCDEFGHIJKL appeared first
and then MNOPQRSTUVWX on the second press
This was with the whole ID3 tag typed as the alphabet.
Title, Album, Artist all display as I mentioned above.

Hi, I'm new. Anyway, I am making mp3 cds and I pretty much know how to do it all, but I have some questions. I am putting albums on the cd and I want the tracks to play in order. The ID3 tags are all right, but do I have to title the actual file as numbers to get them to play in the correct order? I'm confused
