Default door lock problems

I just noticed that my passenger side door lock will not lock/unlock when I push the button on the door panel or when I push the button on my alarm keychain. When I push the button the door lock twitches a little like it wants to lock/unlock but it doesn't go all the way. Now I have to manually pull the lock up or push it down, which sucks. Am I going to have to buy a new actuator or whatever it is that controls the door lock? Or is there something I can try to do to hopefully fix this?

Its the actuator. You could try taken it out, taking it apart & cleaning/lubricating it, but more than likely it will need to be replaced.

damn...yeah, how much did they run you? my friend that works at a dealer said they did some warranty work on a xb front passenger door and they replaced the actuator but the old one was still good. he's gonna check for me to see if they still have it laying around somewhere. i hope they do.
