Default DVD displayed on Deck face (no pop-out screen)

Ok help me out everyone. I've been trying to figure out if it's my imagination or I actually came across a product like the following:

It's a single (maybe a 1.5) DIN receiver/head unit that has an active screen the size of the face. The loaded DVD plays on the screen. No motorized screen pops out, and this is definately NOT a double din. I'm pretty sure it's a single DIN thinking about it now.

It does have a removable face, and fold down access to load/unload the cd/cd-r/cd-rw/mp-3/DVD disc.

Does anyone know of such a product?

Ive seen that on a couple websites as well - I couldnt imaging trying to actually watch anything on it - it looks tiny! I can just hear it now - buy one and everyone will just say "why didnt you get a pop-out?" or the similar response... Kinda neat though.

that's close, but the one that I've seen goes across the entire face.

Eclipse makes a double din that has a touch screen that slides down and exposes the cd and dvd slots.

I found that one too. will a double din fit in the xb?

I was hoping for something along the lines of a single din. or a 1.5 at most.

Double din fits perfect - same size as stock.

Wow, sounds neat, but I'm not sure of the usefullness of a screen
that's 1"X6".

I'd love to see photos when you find it!

I just installed the JVC one in my XB. I love it and believe it or not it as actually very easy to watch. As far as not getting the flip-out, i had the Clarion touch screen in mine previosly and was tired of getting tickets for it while i was driving. Cause honestly if you have a flip out you are gonna have it out while driving or not. So far no problem because as far as you can tell from out side the vehicle it looks like an active display cd -player. Here is a picture of it in the XB. (kinda blurry)

Very similar to this! Maybe it was last year's or the year before's model? A prototype? It was definately a DVD player.

If not, I like the way mad05xb's set up turned out.

Pix Keith?

sony has 2 or 3 models similar to the model above, but they are NOT dvd players, just simply color active matrix CD players... (look at the model number above the screen)
