Default DVD Displays Installed in xB Headrests

Anyone seen instructions for installing 7" LCD panels in the xB headrests for DVD playback?

Any pics of this setup?

Or is professional installation the only way to go when cutting the fabric and installing displays in the headrests?

I don't believe a 7" will fit - but I could be wrong. Mine are 6.5" and pretty much max out the headrest. A friend did these for me so I can't speak from personal experience but I did watch him do it. He does headrests all day and according to him the Scion ones are a pain because they are are glued on and very tight. I am not trying to tell you what to do, but it might be a job better left for the pro's. Here's a pic of mine.

Yeah, 6.5" looks like the largest size that would fit. I'd like for them to have low profile frames like the ones you have. I'll look around town and see who can install these. Anyone know a good place in the Austin area?

nope, 750.00 (pair) complete kit.

no cutting, still have stock ones, 10 min install, perfect match on fabric, norisk.

if you want to pay a shop 500 to fab. plus the monitors (call it 100 each) plus cables, plus av box. go ahead.

better yet, do it yourself.

Just wondering how does the moniter in the headrest respond with the head unit? It looks like there is no wires coming out of it.

Wires are run down through the metal bracket inside the headrest, through the seat and often hidden under the rug and ran up to your head unit. Atleast this is how i did mine.
