Ok, I've searched for this answer but have been unable to find it. The easter eggs for the '05 radio have been well documented, but I can't seem to get them to work on my '06 standard cd player. There is no "A" button on the '06 radio, or is the "A" short for another button that I have?

 

yea, I'm looking too. Last time I asked they just slammed the post and said it had been answered. I can't find it. There is a section in the manual on how to change the start up message, but no easter egg into.

 

From what I understand you can get them from the Scion Magazine, I have both the 05 & 06. I will look at them tonight when I get home from work and if I can find something I will let you know. If it a lot of info I can scan the pages (if you don't have the books) and Email them to you.

I did a search too and was unable to find anything that was useful. I upgraded my stereo and did not get the manual for the new one so I don't know if they are in there either.

 

I have the 06 Scion Magazine and the info is for the 05 easter egg. It still talks about the 'A' button etc.
I'm beginning to wonder if ther are any easter eggs in the 06 radios.

 

'A' is short for audio. i am not sure what the '06 radios look like but that is what it stands for. so see if there is an "audio" button and try that *shrug*

 

I have the '06 book.
they steps they have do seem to be for the '05, I dont think they work for the '06s.......


how could they overlook this? well they did overlook the spelling and pictures of the tC security system on the Scion Shuffle website..........

 

The manual for the '06 radio has the procedure to put in custom text... I've done that already.

What I'd like to do is display the Japanese symbols for "Scion"...

 

I have the 06 Ipod radio and I figured out the text, but that is all I know, and last night I had my magazine in my hand but completely forgot to look that stuff up sorry, however, it appears that you have the book too so it is not necessary anyway.

if i can remember correctly. it is in the end of the radio manual for the 06's. i only looked over it briefly so i could be wrong so... idk

 

I have the radio manual for my '06. It has instructions to change the text only! I'd like to show the Japanese symbols in the Easter Egg. Has anyone done this on the '06 standard radio?

 

from what I can tell nobody has ever been able to do anything besides enter custom text.
the radio manual only tells you how to enter custom text.
and the 06 mag give directions for the 05 HUs that have different buttons.

I dont think the "easter eggs" are really available for the 06 HUs


Scion screwed up?

 

oh. i just left it sayin scion im too lazy to change it. and ill probly end up unpluggin the battery to install somethin anyways
