I have been researching for a new headunit, and i like price and the features on this one, but can it be used to control your iPod? This is a major factor in my purchase. I have looked all over and i can't find any mention of this.

 

The ipod control on AVN5435 sucks. All you can do is go to next and previous songs. The only eclipse unit with complete ipod support is the AVN6600. It is the newer model and will cost you about 300-600$ more, depending on where you buy it. (ebay VS Dealer). The 6600 also has 2 DVD players, so you don't need to switch discs to watch a movie. It also comes with an upgraded map dvd for navigation.

6600 is the newest among their Navigation units. If you think the price is too high, I'd advise you to wait for the prices to come down rather than settle for other models.
