well i was swapping out some speakers in an xb today. when i did the drivers door i saw an extra plug.
it was capped off and taped back. it had 7 wires (four white w/stripe and 3 blue).
i tapped them out to see what they did.
one of the blue wires was switched 12v.
one or the white was ground.
these wires are thick, about 12 or 14 ga.

anybody know what they are for?
if someone has the manuals it might make some referance in there?

Maybe it's the wiring for folding/retractable mirrors. That's the only thing I can think of Japanese bBs having over the xB.

 

I have the JDM turn signal mirrors on my xB and they plug directly into the stock wires. I don't recall seeing this extra plug when installing them but I do have the wiring book for the xB. I'll look into it today.

 

i would love it if that was true but i doubt it.
the power folding controls should be with the mirror controls (not in the doors)

i can't seem to think of any extras that would need controls in the door.

 

maybe the scion security?
