Default feed laptop from power outlet

My '06 tc has a power outlet(12V) and my laptop(SONY VAIO SRX)'s AC ADAPTER has a specification of

OUTPUT: 16V 3.75A

Can anyone recommend a nice and minimal solution to let me use my laptop in my car?

I have no idea which product I should buy for power connection.

Get an DCtoAC inverter that fits the cig lighter socket. About $20 at "Rat Shack" or any local auto parts.

Then use your Sony AC power supply/cord. The specs you gave are for the _output_ from your Sony adapter. It uses 110VAC (house current) as the input.
