Default Fiberglass question

My buddy has a 98 acura integra and has taken his back seats out.....like any good ricer would.... :D anyway, we were talking today about what it would cost to do from the underneath of the front seats into the trunk area including a sub box (12" kicker) and an ramp rack or mount in all fiberglass....
any idea what this would set him back? it looks pretty ghetto right now, needs a little improvement.....
thanks for any info

steve

It will run at least 2-3grand for a full custom fiberglass setup that size. I've seen full trunk setups cost up to 5 digits. It all depends on how crazy of a setup he wants.

carpeted or gelcoated w/paint?

if he wants to carpet it, a small course on fiberglass, and he could do it himself.. hours and hours of sanding followed by hours of sanding, but it's possible..

the estimates theyre giving u is for getting someone else to do it. If you do it yourself(it really isnt that hard) it'll cost u a couple hundred and alot of time. But it's always pretty kickass to say you built your own enclosure, especially when its glass.

Here's a link to TONS of tutorials, glass and other:

Enjoy.

Properly done it would cost a anywhere from 500 - 1000 on parts alone... using medium to good products. Paint/gelcoat/filler/3m green tape/buckets brushes/sandpaper/Toxic Masks/resin/ss kitty hair are some of the things you'll need. The better quality your supplies the easier your life will be!

Be ready to invest a lot in time! good luck
