the wiring part is simple. The relay can be had at any junk yard that has a late 90's early 2000 4-runner. The switch is the problem, depending on your pocket book. I searched everywhere for a OEM foglight switch out of a 4-runner or a tacoma truck without luck. I ended up purchasing the OEM xA button for the xB (xB is a non lit rocker). If you decide to go OEM TC switch the inside wiring is already done i beleive. Problem is, toyota doesn't give these switches away. I think I paid close to 50 bucks for it.

Totota relay # 90987-02012. It's a denso relay and very abundant in the 4-runner. power windows, locks and various other items. They will be the taller of the relays stuck in the inside fuse panel. grab a couple extra fuses while you're there... never have enough of those..

I just received my order for the xB fog light relay and switch in the mail Thursday from Ken at Sparks Toyota (sparkstoyota.com). Drop him an email if you are interested in anything (not just what is listed on their site), and he will give you a reasonable price qote. I paid $67.29 for them both (includes shipping), I have my own fog lights (non xB) but wanted to use original wiring rather than what came with the fog lights. Good luck on your adventure.

you can get an OEM style switch at Lowe's. It's the Gardner Bender GSW-45. Been talked about on here for ages. It's about 5 bux or so.

I'll sell you a scion switch and a relay for $7.99 and I'll throw in a relay for free if you want. Just ask. And its not too hard to do the wiring. Power to switch, switch to relay, ground relay, power to relay, power from relay to fogs, ground fogs.

30 bux damn

Maybe next time. Hit me up if you need anything

Its not a OEM Denso relay or whatever, but its just a regular 30/40 amp 5-pin relay. Perfect for automotive use. I'm using a bunch in my car for air compressors, strobe lights, tv's, etc. My cost on them is about 99 cents!

I see. Well mine was the factory relay for the factory wiring. I guess that's why it was expensive. Even though I bought it from someone on here. It just plugged into the fuse block.

im kinda lost at why anyone is buying relays. I've been to two junk yards and they give these things away. They don't make their money on relays, they make their cash on hardware such as body panels and engine parts.

Things junk yards give away because nobody takes them anyways.
relays
fuses
bulbs

If you are a smart shopper, you can go to your local toyota dealer and get crossreference #'s and the cars that used these items. This will save poking around every single toyota they have at the junk yard. Course I still poke around all of them, never know when that Lexus will have something better then I do.

Just for instance... I've installed three new 12 volt sources (cigarette lighters) with the fancy black cover that says 12V on it. All three came from the Farfunugen variety car, all three of which have a lit halo around it that matches the ingnition switch halo. Nothing special, but the junk yard gave them to me because nobody wants this crap.

why buy, when it's there for free?
