Default Four Front Speakers question

(when i say four front speakers, i mean four component set ups. ie, four woofers/tweeters)

i know ive seen (somewhere in this forum) someone with a set up that used the original mounting locations for a set of component speakers, and then they had kick panels installed with another set of components.

my question(s) is this. how would you rig up the 4 speakers to run off of just the front channel location? would i need to buy a seperate amp for each set, or would a 4 channel amp run all four speakers fine?

and one last thing, where can i find kick panels for the xB? :D

A 4 channel is your best bet for that setup, so you can adjust the gains for each set.

Do a search for kick panels and I'm sure you'll find places to purchase a set.

So if I have it straight you want to run the dash mounted tweeters, door mounted mids, and some additional speakers in the kickpanel locations? If that is the case you have a myriad of options. If you don't need control of crossover and or levels of the speakers you can easily run all of them off of most any two-channel amplifier. This is, of course, assuming that your amp can handle a two ohm load in stereo. You could also run these with a four-channel amplifier, it's really up to you. In regards to your desire for kickpanels I might be able to help you out. I have a set that are nearly finished that I may be willing to part with for the right price. If your interested check out the photobucket link in my sig and shoot me a PM. Thanks. Mark

How did you do that? I have a set of old Boston Acoustics Pro 5.4s that I want to build dash pods for, but nothing too huge. I'm thinking about cutting into the factory tweeter mount and maybe recessing the mids a little and hanging the tweeters in a coaxial mount. How did you do yours?
