Default Got a ? about amp install

I just ordered an amp for my highs up front. Jensen PS260 (340w). Yesterday i went through the labor of running a distribution block on my existing 4ga. power wire to my amp out back. Ran an 8ga. wire back up front and down through the carpet and center console to under the passenger seat where i intend to mount the amp. Also Ran speaker wire through the carepet and through the doors. I also pulled my headunit out and ran an rca cable down under the passenger seat too. Now when i had the headunit out i forgot to wire in the amp remote wire. Now for anyone with an indash cd/dvd ya know pulling it out is a MESS (if you've stored the brain back there as i have). Anywho, my question is:

Can i splice into my existing remote wire leading to my amp out back? Yeah, i know one amp is for my subs and one for my highs, so if i ever turn the sub out off on my headunit it'll cut both amps off, but i don't car about that. For me, its all or none. So is that okay to do? Sorry, i'm just too lazy to go back into the dash. Yesterday i had the seats and door panels and dash out. Enough work for me for a day, haha.

Im sure somone will say it's a bad idea, but i have done it a million times at work and never had a problem. Now if you tried to run three or more amps, then you would need to go a different route. Why when you turn your sub out off, would your remote wire stop sending power out? Because a remote wire should be hot until the radio is turned off manually or when the car turns off. Just thought i'd ask. Didn't know if there was a radio manufacturer actually doing this.

^^^ the Sub on/off is generally controlled through the RCA's, so as long as there are seperate RCA's for sub and front/rear, you should be fine
