Does anyone know where I can find green 4 gauge amp wire? I'm hoping to find some clear candy green wire to power our subs. I tried googling to no avail...

 

Wouldnt look as good as what yourf looking for, but maybe spray painting the wire would work, how much of the wire are you really gonna see any way, just an idea.

 

I've never seen or heard of green. You can get flex loom in green to cover it.

^^^ Is your wire clear green or solid? The only thing I've been able to find is solid green.... If it's clear can you tell me what to search for, or maybe a link plz...

I would buy some good wire and cover it with something. You audio system is only as strong as it's weakest link. You don't want to skimp on you power or ground wires. Trust me it's a lot easier to cover a wire that to have to deal with bad sound.

What cable end do you recommend from that welding page to make a grounding kit, seems like you need special tools to use the crimp on , I would worry that the screw on ones would not have as good of a connection

 

Cablewise I'd recommend the biggest (lowest gauge) your budget allows. Personally I have some 1/0 that I plan on using. I'd recommend the standard crimp-on lugs but I would take it a couple steps further. First, after crimping on the connector (plus a standard bench vise with a bolt at the seam of the connector works GREAT!) I would take a propane torch and heat the joint and put some 60/40 Rosin core solder in there so that it's shiny and well covered. Second, then I'd take some shrink wrap and use the torch again (NOT DIRECTLY) to heat the shrink wrap and be happy with a secure electrical connection. Mark
