I'm sure someone has done this before. If not a variation of.

But Why would you have those fans there??
These fans?

Maybe there is something under there...

SO UH who likes it.?????

Not enough room that sub is like 8" deep. plus I wanted the spare to be usable thats why I didn't use that space. I am going to mod the box a bit to fit a rack so i can pile stuff on it and not worry about the speaker. Nobody makes a cover for this eclipse. 1 3/4" of movement. plus diff lug pattern.

That i swhat the fans are for. One sucks and one blows. the amp stays pretty cool. when that area is closed up yah it can get warm but thats acuse the air is stagnet and well getting heated up. With the fans it cirulates. Thanks for the concern.
Soon here I'll be re routing my exhaust anyway.

Nice idea! Keeping your amps cool is a necessity that many overlook until they start having problems. It certainly will lengthen the life of the amplifier. Just something else to keep in mind, amplifiers like airflow across their heatsink fins more than directly onto them. It helps to dissipate heat evenly across all of the transistors rather than just focusing on a small group of them.
However, with the limited amount of space, your solution will be more than adequate.
Good job!

Another idea... put a fan or two on the otherside, INSIDE the compart blowing across the heatsink and make those fans on the covers exhaust fans. That way, the air carries the heat from the heatsinks (like their supposed to) and out the compartment.
Very cool idea nonetheless.

i have an amp in the same location, after a couple hours playing at shows it gets SUPER hot, it is a small area and i dont know if those fans would do much to dissipate the heat, but it is pretty damm cool. im now taking the amp out of that location because i fear i might melt something important or destroy my amp.
if i did systems i would do this, it looks awesome and serves a purpose...but i dont, stock tunes for me lol. my bin back there holds all my car wash products.
Great idea though and glad to see its holding up after 3 years
