Default Heel rest/floor mat protector?

There's a little hole in my floormat where my heel rotates between the gas and brake pedals. Instead of replacing the mat - which would wear again anyway - I was thinking of putting some kind of metal plate there to rest my heel on and prevent further "erosion". Has anybody seen anything like this? I'm thinking some kind of 3"- or 4" round plate with a pin through it that would maybe secure with a fastener on the bottom of the floor mat....

Default ...You might need a strong metal....

I have heavy wear there also.
My mats were under clear plastic mats and I still have a wear mark under my right heel. Some after-market mats have reinforced areas.

I would like to have a perfect driver's mat as a backup mat for shows.

So... Who has the solution?

I had the same problem , wear where my heels touch.

Found a cheap , easy to do , great looking alternative. Went to my local Wally World one day and picked up some welcome mats , they come in various weights , colors, styles. laid my worn Scion mats on them, cut it out, punched the holes for the clips , and WALA. Being as they are cheap ( some as low as $1.97) I can replace them at will depending on if i want protection or looks that day.

I have a set made out of , you guessed it , Frog welcome mats, that have not worn out for 2 years.

I actually was just looking into a solution myself.
Razo makes a heel plate. Attaches to the carpet.

That's the idea, but I don't need it to be that big... just a 4" circle.

I used the rectangular, $10 SUV universal mats from Walmart. They hold up pretty well plus they help catch water and debris from my boots. I've worn out one so far and am on my 2nd now. Moved the first one to the passenger floor board just to help catch debris on that side. That way I have less to clean before car shows. Just take them out and dump them.
