Default Help choosing AMP

I let Best Buy workers tell me what AMP to get when i got my 1st car audio setup and i learned a lesson. Now i got my hands on a JL 13w7 and need to know what power AMP to get for it. I have a seperate AMP to power the door speakers, so this one needs to only power the sub. What watts and how many channels and such? Researching online only got me more lost so this is my last shot.

that is the amp that you need.....JL Audio 1000/1.... there is a guy that has one he's trying to get rid of... his name's tC875 ..... PM him and ask him about it....he'll probably just take an offer on it....but that's definitely what you need for that massive 13.5w7!!!!

I wouldn't buy anything less than 1000 watts.

I have a JL 12W6v2 and have 500 watts on it. My amp is a Rockford Fosgate 500.1.

You can get a Fosgate 1000.1 for a decent price off of ebay.

I have heard good things about Arc Audio, but haven't used them personally.

^^^the older fosgate stuff is what rocks!!! that's what I'm running.....my 501s pushes 632RMS @ 4ohm mono.... got the birth certificate to prove it....

The JL 1000/1 would just look the best in an install....

thanks and amen on the older the better. the 13 is replacing a 10w0 that lasted thru 3 cars and 7 years of fun. i think it still works because when i push the sub down into the box more it will start to hit then bounce up and stop. maybe a loose connection i can fix and sell cheap.
