Default Help finding a double din DVD for an XA...

Does anyone have any advice on a double din dvd player with screen for an XA? I was looking at a couple models the Panasonic CQ-VD6503U and the JVC KW-AUX706.... Is it possible to bypass the brake and make both of those models usable while driving? Does anyone have any other suggestions?
My criteria is simple;
1) under $600
2) capable of being set up to play dvd's while driving (no gyro unit)
3) no flip up/ double din design

Thanks for the help

yea u can use them while u drive your just hook one wire to the e-brake. its real easy i did it on my kenwood dvd player. when u hook the wire up u have to click your e-brake 1 time or bend the bracket. i would go with the pan. im not a real big fan of JVC but it all depends on what u r lookin for

Takes up the whole deck area instead of a single din, which needs an adapter.

So the wire that is meant for the ebrake just gets grounded to the frame? This will allow it to remain on even when the car is in motion? That doesnt sound too hard. I agree, and am leaning towards the Panasonic. I just wanted someone who has it or knows for sure to verify that this will work with those decks.... I had read that this trick didnt work with some of the newer decks.

Thanks

I am actually leaning towards the Kenwood DDX6019. Does anyone have this and what do you think of it? Any drawbacks? Is it tough to "ground out" and make it able to play while driving? Thanks

The Kenwood DDX6019 is not a bad unit. It's not difficult to make it able to play DVD's while driving.

I like the Pioneer AVH-P6800DVD. That is a very good unit as far as Double DIN DVD players.

If you need a place to buy the head unit from, let me know. I sell and install them.

Thanks! Yea, it is tough to drive without gauges, but If you mail them overnight to me, I can have them back to you in 1 day. Just an extra service I provide for my out of town customers.

Just send me an e-mail or PM me, and we can talk more. (whiteblazer01@***.net).

Nah, that's not a problem. I can always leave my car at my mom's house and use her truck, cuz she has 2 cars. I'm mostly talking about money issues. I have enough for it, but I need to save my money. Maybe when I get at least $260 in my account, then we'll talk.
