Default Help with flip down LCD installation!

Hey all,
I got my flip down monitor with dvd built in and installed it last night. I have 2 problems that I need help with.

#1 power cord that came with the unit goes to a transformer/fuse of some type. There is power and ground wire to the unit from this little box, but there is power, ground, and some other wire coming out of the other side of the box. I have the power and ground hooked up, but the other yellow and green wire, I have no clue where it goes. The translated korean instructions say "Connect yellow and green with Mainframe crust" WTF is Mainframe crust.

#2: Being connected directly to the battery, I worry that it may be draining my battery. There is no remote wire, should I just hook up a switch to put my mind at ease?

#1 the yellow and green wire i believe hook up to where your dome light was... some combo will have it on when you hit the light button and the other will turn the lights on when the doors are open (provided your flip down has a dome light built in) of no extra lights.. then i dunno..

#2 as for the switch... it wouldnt hurt a thing to add one and it'll make you feel better..... but i doubt it would drain your battery enough to cause issues unless it was left on or unstarted for long long time

Dome light wires are separate and already accounted for and hooked up, but thanks for the suggestion. This wire comes out of that fuse box that is on the power wire.

ah.. ok was just a thought... was thinking the flipdowns had some sort of common thing to them... 2 flip downs i have, have a yellow, blue and red wire... and the place i bought them at said they were for dome light functions...

maybe those extra wires you have connect to an "accessory" line or something. so it only works when car is turned on... sorta like a lead from a HU... just a thought

That was exactly what i was thinking, so i tried hooking it up to the remote wire on my amp... no such luck.

I got the flip down from audio image electronics, and the monitor doesnt even have a name brand, so there is absolutely no customer support.

Somebodys got to know what the mainframe crust is. I thought it might mean the shell of the dvd player, but it goes out the opposite way of the dvd power and ground wires.

could it be a ground just for the transformer in the little black box? It already has a ground, but thats for the DVD player.

I got the dome lights to work only when the doors are open, were you able to configure it a different way?
