what you REALLY need is the converter made by NORCALSCIONS

That ebay deal isn't bad at all. This is what I ran on the install in my wife's xB...

http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...roducts_id=174

It probably would have been worth the difference in cost to get the kit off of ebay. Getting the type of splices I wanted was the biggest hassle. With the ebay kit you don't have to deal with that. I also spliced the LOC in right after the stock head unit. It is all hidden up in the dash.

I would highly recommend getting one of these to go along with the install if you are only adding a subwoofer. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3792.html You just plug it into your RCAs in line between the head unit and the amp. Tune your amp with the Bass Control turned all the way up. Then if you ever need to reduce your bass it is as easy as turning the little ****. A great investment for only $13.

+1 for bass ****.

I run the subplug2 from norcalscions, and it's great. includes a remote turn on as well as RCAs

but doesn't it require wire work? the subplug 2 from norcalscions is plug and play.

well, the one on ebay was plug and play, and specifically built for our cars... I had purchased two others, in addition to a scoche TAO2, and realized I'd be so much better off with the one from ebay

it's up to you, I'd buy his 'full enchilada' one, but that's just me. I had a great experience with that seller/product, and it continues to perform well.

thanks for the props !!! i am glad you enjoy it and it is working well .. i think it is the best solution for the stock system .. it is plug -n-play .. well worth the price .. there is no wires to cut and or need for an installer .. easy -do it yourself .... thanks"CHERRYBOX "
