I dont think you got OEM Caddy bulbs and ballasts. If you did, they wouldn't fit. This is what I remember from reading HIDPlanet. Only HID bulbs that fit halogen housings are rebased bulbs that you find in plug and play kits.

Yes that is right it takes a few seconds for them to heat up and reach their potential. I used to have a set of HIDs taken ouot of an escalade p/u they did the same thing. Upon turning them on they would flash and be some what dim and them reach a brighter potential..

haha, trying to make the bulb fit will give you probably the worst output possible. you are probably trying to shove a D2S bulb into a 9006 hole. even if you superglue the bulb in place, the output will be like ****. you'll just blind everybody and won't get much usable light on the ground and defeat the whole purpose of HID lighting.

I did my hids on my celica which have a wider space than the tc.. On my celica they just popped in and I put the metal clips behind the bulb very snug fit and there was plenty of room between the bulb tip and the clear part of the housing... Let me know how it works on the tc..

well i got it fit, i just had to razor some of the black plastic off of the bottom, and it was a snug fit. i put a wooden lego like block in between the fuse box and the light so it wont move, and the other light on the passenger side fit really perfectly, so i just tapped it a bit. the lights look great

ghetto rigging D2s or D2R bulbs to fit reflector housings is a big nono....I'd love to see your beam pattern now.

this is a little bit off topic but since it has to do with HIDS i have a question. Will I be able to pass inspection with HID because they guy that does the inspections for us if super **** and wouldnt pass my moms odyssey because i had a set of DOT compliant blue redline bulbs. They are like pure white with barely any blue. And I didnt have the clips that held the bulbs in place. Thats BS about the bulbs not being street legal even when it is stated that they are on the bulb itself.
