Default ...somewhat easy....

I just removed the radio head unit in my XB.
Pull off the three climate control *****.
Unscrew the 2 philip head screws beneith the *****.
Now, wiggle the silver out by moving it side to side near the bottom.
The top of this silver sub-dash is hinged at the top, so pull it out by the bottom first.
Once this is removed, 4 screws hold the radio head unit in. Unclip the connections in the back of the unit.
There are several write-ups on removing this sub-dash but only doing it will allow you to understand fully.

Default ...Your so MYOPIC.....

Well, to be correct, your instructions were correct and my instructions ignored one key element that could really cause a problem. Those 3 wiring harnesses that go into those 3 connectors need to be removed by depressing the tab and removing the connection socket. There is only about 4 inches of extra play in the wires, so you have to do this without seeing it behind the silver dash part.
How could I forget that?

Don't be sorry... be MYOPIC.... The more correct instructions should allways be the goal here in Scion Life.
