Putting XBOX in XB Question...
I finally decided that im going to put my xbox in my xb. Since I already have an amp under the passenger seat, I was thinking about puttint it under the drivers seat. Does anyone know if all the bumps on the road will destroy the xbox? Also what size power inverter will I need. If anyone knows a better place to put it, let me know

Have you measured under the seat yet? The bumps won't hurt the xbox, but make sure you secure it very well to the frame if possible. And atleast 100 watts for an inverter. Oh and don't go skimpy on the invertor either because it'll make your speakers whine like a 7 year old girl scout. By the way, what are you planning on wiring it to for audio/video?

I would say as long as you are not driving through Pot Hole City your xbox should be fine. as for the inverter, first get a good one. the cheap ones will create noise issues. Monster Cable makes a great one but it can be pricey. I ended up putting my xbox in the dash, below the drivers dash speaker.

Hahaha, interesting violent_b, I just said that a minute ago! LOL. The Monster Cable one is awesome and perfect for this application, but it is expensive. I forgot to mention tbone, that it is tough to get to the power button when it's under the seat... Also, you will need to get some wireless controllers as well or it'll be a pain in that location to have controller wires. I modify Xbox's so mine has a different power supply all-together so my Xbox turns on when my truck does, and I hard wired two wireless controller dongles so that I basically never have to touch the xbox. All of my games are loaded onto the hard drive too, so I don't have to mess with discs all the time. Just some ideas man. And if you ever want to venture into modding your Xbox toss me a PM. Good luck.

these pics are from me working on the xB so the dash is out and it looks crappy but you get the idea. I have to find pics of the xbox case in the dash but here are the power buttons and cd tray:

Hey Bill... what do you think of this inverter?

I'll probably only power an xbox and charge a laptop with it. I don't want to get one too small and regret it later, and the price, even with shipping, is pretty good on this one.

Scott, it's hard to tell if that one is a good one. the more power the better. I went through 4 different inverters till I found one that wouldn't cause noise through my system. trial and error.
