Default I present... Window Speaker Panels

KEEP IN MIND, this is a prototype, fitment and other concerns will be addressed with the second prototype piece

My good buddy "Mr scion" and I got together to make the contraption you may have seen on Pioneer Japan's website. This is made of bulletproof lexan. The second prototype will have a 1" tweeter fully installed (which will be included with production pieces)

Let me know what you think. If you're interested, i'll post up an approximate price with tweeter installed.

It's not a subwoofer, and how do you think your door speakers are installed, they're riveted screwed to a piece of metal. There's no "box".

Besides, YOU pay $800 for that pioneer piece, i'll be here laughing.

The final part will be made specifically for seperates. I just had these 6x8's sitting in my garage, so I decided to go ahead and make the panels with them.

Calm down Lil fella just givin you some advice and maybe just maybe you should learn who your gettin jumpy with before you run your mouth i am an mecp certified installer and fabricator for years i wouldnt pay 800 bux for the pioneer peice i would make it myself and the driver in the plexiglass baffle you made doesnt have to be a sub woofer to lack acoustic responce glass has NO TONAL QUALITY it will soun tinny or very hollow and the door speaker scenario you mentioned is totaly different the dorr and door panel create somewhat of an enclouser to cause the driver to reproduce the frequencies you need out of a FULL RANGE speaker ...

just a thought

Mr scion didn't have any wire to hook it up to the amp he had no more than 3' away from the speaker, so we couldn't test it out then and there. When I create the first "REAL" piece, I want to run a test setup (via test CD's), to see just how much of a difference there is to the human ear sitting in the front.

Yeah, i'll be selling these once all the bugs are figured out and the final piece is made, should take about 2 weeks to get that one vital piece said and done with. I also want to make it available in a paintable surface (like a thin layer of fiberglass resin), so you can paint it black and add a ton of lights behind it.

If you'll put on a sticker, we can work something out for sure. Just provide your own speakers and amps.

I agree, plus the stock speaker has a foam surround to lessen the possibility of bass cancellation by sealing the to the door.

Ghost..How are you producting these? Are you cutting them out with a jig saw or do you have an actual template made that you are going use on the router? Just curious.

I was under the impression that rear fill is undesireable. Would this even be needed if you had a sub in the back, or is this an alternative? Also, to me this just screams "Steal my system." someone guide me.

It will be based on a template. I'm also going to make sure the next piece won't be able to move front/back or up/down/left/right.

Well subs are low-frequency, this is mid- and high-frequency. If the rear speakers (stock location) were unconnected, i'm sure these would sound a whole lot better. BUT, I don't want to stick to this until i've hooked it all up and can make that conclusion.
