Install a carputer and run an NES emulator with every game known to man (available online somewhere)

check out www.mp3car.com for carputer setups. With a carputer, you can have navigation, music, movies, games etc - all that functionality by just installing 1 pc. rather than installing a head unit with a screen, a navi unit, seperate dvd player, etc.

If you have a/v inputs on the back of the head unit, and the old school NES, just hook up an RCA cable to the video and mono audio port on the NES (although, if I recall, you might not care about the audio). Get an inverter for power. It should be pretty easy.

You're going to have a hard time finding a stand alone...
Supposedly, there's one in existence for the 1st gen xbox, but I haven't personally seen it.

get a cheap laptop, a vehicle laptop stand, an inverter and a nes emulator...the laptop will also allow you to have nav, obdII, movies and even internet if you dont mind paying for it.

^^^ exactly along my lines. I'm using a tablet laptop (touch screen) for movies, music, navigation, etc. I made a mount for like $1 which isn't the prettiest thing in the world but it works!

I have an emulator which allows me to play nes, snes, genesis games. once in a while, if im waiting or on a trip, i'll pull out my usb controller and kick guiles' a$$ in streetfighter...

The other option which I was going to go thru with until I found the tablet was - to find a nice "high" end laptop with a broken screen/display and then get an 8" touch screen from ebay.. You can easily put that touchscreen in the "oven" area under the temp controls and pull it out when you want to use it for navi/music etc...
