Install a PT546-00140 in a 2006 Scion xB?
Has someone has installed a PT546-00140 in a 2006 Scion xB?

Items needed for installing PT546-00140 in older Scions
Here is a list of parts. Depending on your abilities, you can go 100% Plug & Play or, if you have some automotive electrical abilities and experience, you can go the cheaper route and manually find the needed wires and tap / splice as needed. I've done both methods and I strongly suggest the Plug & Play.
The back-up camera kit from Scion is Out of Stock and if you can find it, the seller wants big $$$... I changed mine from the 6 volt OEM to a generic 12 volt camera which gave me the ability to order pretty much any back-up camera from Amazon and made things so much easier. I've installed quite a few of these.

FYI... Scion Base Audio Wire Harness Kit PT546-00142 | Toyota Genuine Parts PT54600142 . be careful with this FULL KIT.... it's seems Toyota will ship the wrong kit or the kit is poorly made. I've had trouble with a few of these, but others worked no problem?????

Genuine Scion Accessories PT546-00120-AD HFC Antenna Conversion Cable by $33.00 . This will save you a lot of headaches. Most people install the deck and find that everything works but there's no sound. It's an issue with one wire supplying power to the OEM mini amps on the speakers.
Instead of hunting down the right wire, splicing and etc..This harness makes it Plug & Play.

Reverse/Backup Camera Interface Harness for Toyota or Scion by AutoHarnessHouse.com $45.00 . This works... but I suggest doing your research and installing a generic Rear View camera that operates on 12 volts.
The OEM camera setup uses 6 volts and really limits you on camera selection. I suggest this camera, sold by COOLINT for 29.99. It comes with the install kit:
