Default Install question for AVN5435. :)

I plan on doing it myself and I know the back plugs r the same but how about the side screws that connect the headunit to the actual silver bracket. Do we have to drill into it ( to relocate the screws to match the headunit) in order to install it? Any alteration? How about bypassing the DVD shutoff while we drive feature? I think we can just groud it right? I did a search but could not find the answer. Thanks

Well as you know the unit itself plugs into the factory harness, so thats no biggie. The only modification you have to do is drill some holes in the bracket about 1/4 inch back from the stock spot. Its a fairly easy install. As far as allowing you to watch a dvd while driving.. ya just ground it. I just grounded mine on the bolt that the bracket from the headunit goes into, but anywhere will work.
