Interior Lighting Options
Sup all,
Looking to install an interior light kit for my Flint Mica tC.
The options I'm considering now are:
OEM Toyota LED Kit for ~120 (off any scion parts site)
Randodes Cold Cathode Kit $100
Custom installing my own...probably use StreetGlow products
I am curious as to whether anybody has seen the LED and cathode kits and which is brighter / better?
I will want to install a strobe controller to have lights pulse with music. Any recommendations on units?
Thanks for the help guys!

cathodes are way brighter than led's. randodes kit is kool kuz its plug & play. it would be cheaper to DIY, but lemme tell you from experience, be prepared to waste the better part of a day trying to get everything figured out.
If you've got any experience at all with wiring car electrics, you should make your own cold cathode or LED setup. Hit up www.svc.com and go to the lighting section, you'll find everything you need at prices that kick the ___ of randode and streetglow.
If you want to get crazy, there's a guy on ebay who has single prewired LEDs for about 75 cents each shipped. I used them to do all sorts of ridiculous things in my xB (door handle lights, grab bars on the roof lights, cupholders, a/c vents, bottoms of the doors, etc)..
On the other hand, if you're less confident I would say go with randode's kit. It's loads brighter than the dealer LEDs (a 12" flourescent tube vs 2 LEDs and a reflector) and cheaper. I've also herard that it's quite easy to install.

Oh, and if you're planning to do red I would say go with the LEDs because the color tone is going to be better. Red cathodes tend to be somewhat pink, but you can spray them with krylon stained glass paint to deal resolve that issue.
