iPod Connection with My TC
I really need to figure out a way to connect my iPod to my '06 TC. I was really close to buying the 260 dollar upgrade to get the little box. But when i went to go see the car with it in it, i saw that it was just a box next to the aux box.. So i decided that it would be easier/cheaper to just buy an aux cable to connect with my iPod.
I'm getting my scion (nautical blue) on the 30th... The dealership is paying for xm radio as well as tinting of the windows... But what i really need is a way to connect the iPod..
Has anyone connected the ipod to their TC? Is there a cable that I can buy that will simply connect the iPod to the aux box?

If you want to connect it to the AUX port, all you need is a male-male 3mm stereo cable, however...
Personally, I sprang for the upgrade, and looking back, I'd do it again.
You can use the AUX port, but the main advantage of the upgrade is that you can control the pod directly from the HU (it's a real pain in the ___ trying to use the controls on the ipod itself while driving- not to mention being dangerous), plus the upgrade HU uses the docking port, instead of the headphone jack, so it charges your battery as you drive.
When I go out with my wife, we often use the AUX port instead, so she can control the ipod from it's own controls, but when I'm on my own, the upgrade makes it that much easier to hear my music.
