Default Ipod + SRT feature?

Hi,

new here, as I just bought an '06 tC this week. I've ordered the ipod upgrade/attachment for my head unit, and I was wondering if anyone has found that the SRT feature will work when playing music through an ipod using the new ipod adapter/controller...I know otherwise the SRT feature is only available when an mp3 data cd is used. Hope it works, 'cause SRT function really makes a difference when playing mp3s.

Do you mean SSP? And I believe it works with every input (radio, CD, mp3). You can also change the car's type of sound in the radio. Just hold down the SSP button for a few seconds then use the volume control to switch between the xA, xB, and tC sound setups.

not the ssp,he is talking about the sound retouch feature that our HUs have.

sorry, it only works for mp3 CDs

but, when music is being played thru the dock connector, the iPod is supposed to do the something similar. but that may just be when your using the "line out" on the iPod Dock.

really though, the music sounds great, i have no complaints (except that it doesn't have a pause button )

yep, the sound retouch is what I meant. so you have the ipod connector/unit installed then? what's your overall impression? I figure for $260 it's ok, but not if the sounds of the stereo will be too flat. IF it is similar to MP3 w/SRT on, than that will do the trick for now.
