Default iPod + stock head unit, Scion xA

what is the cheapest / best solution for getting stereo-quality sound out of the iPod in a 2005 scion xA with the stock head unit? the iTrip wasn't good for me and I don't want to spend $200+ on those car adapter things. is there a good aftermarket headunit that isn't too expensive that is still better than the stock head unit AND includes a stereo/RCA input on the front of it?

you could get a PIE adapter they run anywhere from 60 to 100 depending on where you buy it. Plugs into the back of the stock HU and makes the sat port into a AUX input. Part TOY03-Aux if memory serves

If you are looking to replace the factory head unit then look for a head unit with an AUX input on the front panel. Aiwa makes one and I had one in my Honda. I used it with my Nomad Jukebox just fine. On a side note I don't think you are going to find any head units with RCA jacks on the front. You will have to go with a mini-jack stereo connector.

Try checking this out...not sure if it will work, but it looks like they had an application for Scions.
