Issue with Viper 791XV Help Needed!
Okay, I just had a Viper 791XV installed on my xB. Everything works okay, but I'm having a problem. After a command is given i.e. door opening, trunk opened, remote started, etc.. no signal is sent to my remote. Everything works, is just doesn't register on the remote. Like If my car gets hit, the remote will beep, but nothing is shown on the LCD. I just had it installed tonite, so I don't know much. Is this something that needs to be programmed to work?? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Hey, I install remote starts at Best Buy, the same thing happened to me. I think it is a remote programming issue. You can program the remote to alert you or not, when something happens with your vehicle, just like you can choose to have the backlight on, or if you want it to vibrate or chirp.
1. Enter programming mode on the remote, press and hold the black button on the back of the remote until one long beeeeep is heard, (if you have a old 791 remote like I do you enter programming mode by pressing all 4 buttons at the same time until the beeep is heard)
2. After entering programming mode within 5 seconds press the * button on the remote to toggle between page mode on/off
If you press the lock button while in programming mode you will toggle between Beep/Vibrate mode
If you press the unlock button while in programming mode you will toggle between illumination On/Off
To exit programming mode take no action for 5 seconds and two semi-long beeps will be heard, this confirms you have exited programming mode.
Hope this helps.

I will definitely try that! I went to an install place today and the guy there told me that either the remote, the brain, or the antenna is broken, and that I'd probably have to buy an all new system!!! I'm not happy!! I sent you a PM XBCloudMD!!
